Chatham Schools

Chatham’s schools are more than classrooms—they’re the heart of our community. Our local elementary school serves as a hub, fostering connection, pride, and a sense of belonging. Generations of families have fond memories of their school days and experiences at Monomoy Community Services. The presence of a good schools makes Chatham attractive to young families, helping sustain a year-round population. The Monomoy Regional District has already been a success and the reputation of our schools has influenced parents to choose Monomoy over charter schools.  

While facilities need attention—particularly our middle school—the broader goal is clear: provide safe, well-maintained, and high-quality learning environments for our students.

I support exploring all options to strengthen enrollment, improve facilities, and preserve the value of our schools to the Chatham community. This includes thoughtful consideration of school choice with Harwich, new programs, economic incentives that keep families engaged and invested in town life.
