Where I stand on the Chatham Municipal Airport.

I live under the flight path. Personally, I would like to avoid a fiery crash in my neighborhood. I am opposed to expanding the airport in any way that is not required by law. If the Federal Laws dictate safety measures that must be taken for existing circumstances then we must do all we can to avoid safety hazards. I support ongoing efforts to ensure safe and efficient operations while minimizing noise and environmental impacts for nearby residents. Planning should balance economic benefit with community quality of life.
