I am pleased to announce that I am running for The Chatham Select Board. My dedication to helping others has been life long and I like to think that contributing to one’s community brings out the best in people.

I have been told by many people that they are skeptical of our government. I foster trust and transparency in all that I do. I will bring my abilities to the Select Board to alleviate and reduce skepticism.

Since moving to Chatham in 2014 I have served in several volunteer roles:

- Zoning Board of Appeals, Chair and Vice Chair

- Bikeways Committee

- Chatham Delegate to Barnstable County Regional Government, Speaker and Deputy Speaker

- Human Services Committee, Vice Chair

- First Night Volunteer

- Cape Mediation – Mediator / Conciliator

I have volunteered in several other roles throughout my life.

I am ready for the challenge of working collaboratively with Select Board members and Town Citizens to accomplish the vision statement of the Board. My education, training, background, and experience uniquely positions me to be an advocate for the townspeople who passionately care about their community and environment.

My agenda is simple: There is ONE CHATHAM and I will lead with the best interest of all the people of Chatham in mind.

I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (BA), The University of Massachusetts at Lowell (MS) and The Massachusetts School of Law (JD). As an attorney I have represented thousands of people all over the Commonwealth at the trial level and on appeal. My husband Paul and I have been married since 1985. We have two children, Leah (Dana) Goheen and Jason and (Dani Aston) Potash. We are blessed with two little granddaughters Riley and Jordan. Our dog Moxie is a brindle – boxer therapy dog with Salty Paws.

I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible to discuss ideas to keep Chatham the very special place we all love.
